Jaws

Let me start by saying this...teething is the worst.  THE WORST.   As if getting her first tooth wasn't horrible enough, Lyla went all out and got two...at the same time.    Like a lot of first timers, I thought she was just getting a cold.   She didn't have a fever, but her nose was so runny and she had a horrible time sleeping.  I said many times throughout this ordeal that I would much rather be in labor again than deal with a teething child.  Even now a few months later (I've been slacking on my postings) I stick to that idea.  But, as soon as those two little bottom buggers popped out, she was back to my old Lyla.   This is, until, a week later she got a 3rd tooth.   And a week after that, she got a fourth!  Hence, the nickname JAWS.

I'll admit, I was a little sad to see that gummy little smile go, but those little toofers are too darn too!

This is the best pic of those little buggers I could get.

Labor Day Weekend

It usually is, but this Labor Day weekend seemed extra busy. Eric worked a lot and even managed to sneak in a round of golf. This left Lyla and I to spend a lot of time together! The big event was getting together to celebrate Gram's 75th Birthday!

Once it was over, I felt like super mom. Then it happened. She decided to throw in her first word. You would think, since we spent so much time together this weekend (both during the day and ALL NIGHT LONG due to her first teething experience), she would choose to make it up to me by saying "Mama". No. To really stick it to me, she decided her first word would be "Dada". Really?

Celebrating "GaGa's" 75th Birthday!

Lyla's first time playing bags.

We're missing a few, but we dragged some of the cousie's into a picture.

Attempting to get the great grandkids together was a joke.  The boys managing to get away.

Hanging out in her jumpy.

Another attempt at pictures.  This was as good I we could get.  Let's pretend Lyla doesn't have gray socks on.

SO cute.  Brailee looked at her and said "hi".

Hanging out in my buggy from when I was a baby.  Gram kept it all this time.

Gram and her kids!
